Veneers

Dental Veneers are thin shells of tooth-colored material that are placed over the front surfaces of the teeth to improve their appearance. Veneers are commonly used to treat a variety of cosmetic dental issues, including:

  • Teeth that are stained or discolored and cannot be effectively whitened with teeth-whitening procedures

  • Teeth that are misshapen or uneven in size or length

  • Teeth with chips or cracks

  • Teeth that are slightly misaligned or have gaps between them

The process of getting dental veneers typically involves two or more visits. During the first visit, we will examine the teeth to determine if veneers are a suitable option and will discuss the patient's goals and expectations. If the patient decides to proceed with veneers, we will then prepare the teeth conservatively to make room for the veneers. An impression of the prepared teeth is then taken and sent to a dental laboratory where the veneers are fabricated.

During the second visit, we will place the veneers over the prepared teeth and secure them in place with a strong dental adhesive. The veneers should provide a long-lasting, functional, and aesthetic solution for the treated teeth, and should give the patient a brighter, more even, and more attractive smile.

It is important to note that dental veneers are a cosmetic procedure and are not meant to treat structural problems with the teeth. We will carefully assess each case to determine if veneers are the most appropriate solution for the patient's needs.

“After a lifetime of hiding my smile, they repaired front teeth that had always been missing enamel. The veneers and resin fillings match so well, you cannot tell which teeth were repaired. Even the temporary ones received many compliments!”
