Dentures

Dentures are removable dental prosthetics that are used to replace missing teeth. They are commonly referred to as false teeth and are custom-made to fit the individual's mouth.

There are two main types of dentures: Full dentures and Partial dentures. Full dentures are used to replace all of the teeth in the upper or lower jaw, while partial dentures are used to replace one or more missing teeth in an arch.

Full dentures are typically made of acrylic resin and are designed to be held in place by suction or an adhesive material. They are typically made to resemble natural teeth and gums, and are customized to fit the patient's mouth for a comfortable and secure fit.

Partial dentures, on the other hand, are typically made of a metal or acrylic framework that holds the artificial teeth in place. The framework is designed to attach to the remaining natural teeth, allowing the partial denture to fill the gap left by the missing teeth.

Dentures can provide several benefits, including improving the appearance of a person's smile, restoring chewing function, and preventing the remaining natural teeth from shifting into the gap left by the missing teeth.

It is important to note that dentures require proper care and maintenance, we will provide instructions on how to properly care for and clean the dentures at the time of delivery. Dentures should be removed and cleaned regularly, and the patient should visit the dentist regularly to have the fit of the dentures evaluated and to have them adjusted or replaced if necessary.
